Important, please read

On race day, please do not start any cars within 15 feet of the Pole Barn!  This should go without saying but unfortunately some need to be told!  There are white lines in the area outside of the pole barn which you should try to stay within for safety purposes!  If we need to drive an ambulance through, a First Aid person needs to run through etc.  There should be a clear path.  However, starting a car by the side of the Pole Barn or under the Pole Barn will result in an automatic DQ for your cars for the day!  Thank you in advance for your cooperation and compliance for this safety request.

Safety issues for our Drivers and Handlers:

All members should be aware of the following items that might cause a DQ.
-Loss of Exhaust System
-Not having an Oil Catch Can
-Improperly fastened Lead. Also remember that the lead cannot be placed in the Side Pod of the Car. It must be bolted between the main Frame rails.
-Not having a 2" Inspection Hole on the Right side of the Car.
-Loss of any Safety Gear or Safety related items (Nerf bar, bumper etc.) under green flag conditions.
-The liberating of any fluid under green is also an immediate DQ

Other items the should be of interest to all members include the correct fitting of Safety Gear. This is one area where buying large for the kid to grow into does not apply. Having a helmet that is too big is more dangerous than too small. Please make sure your child's helmet fits.
Also the improper wearing of safety equipment can cause a DQ. This includes but is not limited to the Belts not over the shoulder, Helmet snot fastened correctly, Wrist restraints coming off, and loosening of belts to lean. If the Judges see any of this activity they can make a call for an immediate disqualification.

Everyone please remember that the safety of your child must come first and foremost. Most accidents are preventable if the correct precautions are taken.
